curaJOY is a non-profit organization that focuses on addressing emotional wellness challenges and behavioral healthcare equity for families. They initially approached us for a small visual enhancement project on their website. The project later grew to include the development of a pitch deck as the client was highly impressed with our design work.

Design Discussion
Leveling up an existing brand comes with its own set of challenges. While it can save time to build on an existing foundation rather than starting from scratch - where we’d have to define brand values and directions - it’s akin to adding strokes to someone else’s painting. You need to understand the original designer’s thought process, carefully decide which elements to retain or modify, and clearly explain these decisions to the client. Because they’ll ask, "Why change it if it works?" The answer is simple: it might work, but it can work even better.
For this project, we chose to introduce organic shapes, gradients, and doodle illustrations to better reflect the family-oriented, approachable nature of the client’s brand.
Fortunately, the client was very pleased with the website revamp, which led to us being entrusted with creating their new pitch deck as well.
